“Really lovely place if you want to disconnect and fall into the nature. We’ve had a spacious two floors room with a jacuzzi in a rock and wooden building, with our own chimney and great attention to detail. The most important is the location and the fact that this place has a lot of its territory where you can walk and enjoy absolutely beautiful scenery with animals, mountains. Really loved it.”
“This is a truly magic place to stay that exceeded all expectations. The staff are super friendly, providing wonderful, attentive service. The location is spectacular, boasting great views of the Picos de Europa and surrounding nature. We also loved the food—it was simply excellent. For a peaceful and comfortable escape with outstanding hospitality, La Montaña Mágica is perfect. Will we come again? Definitely yes, without a doubt.”
“Such a wonderful, special place. We'd love to come back as soon as possible and strongly recommend staying here to anyone who will be visiting the area. Everything was perfect. We loved exploring the grounds and spending time with all the animals, the rooms were spacious and tasteful, and the meals were delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating, with Jose and Carlos helping us plan our itinerary for visiting the nearby towns. Truly a highlight of our vacation. Thank you so much!”
“On second christmas day I went to the seqouia forest to have a chat and I was really longing for a warm place out of my van where it felt good for me, natural and carrying my sensitivity. I had been looking for a few days but suddenly magically after the sequouia forest googlemaps jumped to la montana magica. I took a leap of faith because hotels are normally too much for me, but I arrived there and a smile just touched my face. The fairy lights, the beautiful stone house, the witchy feeling, the view of picos, the new born lambs, the fireplaces, the common room that feels like a scene out of harry potter hihi. I felt welcome and at home. The food was so lovingly made and each person radiated out soul and the light of love and warmth in their eyes was felt. The classical music in the reception is magical, calming the mind when a van decides to have a brake problem. And it was actually a break that I needed from travelling. The land was so welcoming and everyone was so supportive when I had to deal with the camper problem, going out of their way to help me and i am so grateful for the support. I felt welcome, and in the time there I felt my creativity coming back and that i could bloom. Writing poems, making art, listening to the owls, seeing the fox. The ceramics room was amazing for imagination, play and just letting hours flow by having fun and creating. I loved el vallin, the house next to the hotel, and the view of picos different every morning. It is a place to slow down, and go back to the essence of life, the land, enjoying the present moment in the here and now. (on the walking trails you also cannot be anywhere else but now otherwise you slide down or step into a nice mud patch hihi). I got to play in sinkholes, caves, with rivers, with mountains, with cows, lambs, trees with the sea nearby, a nature lover's dream. The baths are just a blanket of relaxation after having to deal with car garages and just the tranquility of the place kept me sane (well sort of haha ;-) And it has been a long time since I cried to leave a place but this one stole my heart. Thank you to la montana magica and all the beautiful souls there for restoring magic, wonder, innocence and purity back into the hearts open to be touched.”
“The staff is so professional and responsive. Good organization by reaching out to the guests on WhatsApp to give instructions on how to reach the property/ dinner menu. I recommend staying for dinner and breakfast. We had a lovely time, only for one night but it was so worth it. You have everything you need at la Montaña magica. The beach is 10/15 min by car.”
“What a wonderful place! In the middle of nowhere, on the top of a mountain, totally adapted to its environment, friendly service, fireplaces crackling in the reading rooms and in your bedroom. Nice, freshly prepared, simple meals for dinner and breakfast. Run by the owners themselves. Beautiful hiking paths.”
“Truly a magic place. We stayed for five days as a family and had a wonderful time. The food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. To wake up to views of the mountains each day was very special. We will return.”
